Healing happens, it can happen to you, and it can happen here!
Dr. Stanley E. Stocker III
Hi, I’m Dr. Stanley E. Stocker III, affectionately known as “Dr. Stan”. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist holding a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Eastern University and a Master of Science in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. My professional experience spans over 20 years working with individuals, couples and families.

My Journey
I got a rich start to my career in counseling and psychotherapy through over two decades of rewarding human services work both as a social worker and psychologist at the Philadelphia Department of Prisons. My work with the youth, young adult, and adult population of incarcerated clients prepared me immensely for my current private practice in the community.
Additionally, my professional credentialing includes certification training in trauma, suicide assessment and intervention, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
My Passion
Most importantly, I am passionate about helping people (individuals, couples, and families) overcome barriers that block life satisfaction. To this end, I find great interest interacting with and treating people struggling to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles—such as low-self esteem, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, infidelity, abuse, and other forms of trauma. With the strong belief that overcoming these conditions is possible and critical to becoming the person you truly want to become, I find great fulfillment and joy joining you on your journey to healing.
